On Thursday, the ESMA has been implemented in the state for 6 months by the UP government. Due to which, there is now a ban on strike in government services.

Esma Act will be applicable for next 6 months It is being told that after the corona in the state, the ESMA Act has been implemented by the UP government in view of the appalling conditions related to post-kovid problems. Under this, for the next 6 months, all public services, authorities, corporations and the government working in all government departments, including those under the UP government, have been banned from the strike.

Esma imposed under Act 1966, Governor approved
The ESMA Act, implemented by the UP government under the Essential Services Maintenance Act 1966, was also approved by Governor Anandiben Patel, after which it was implemented on Thursday. For the next 6 months, no strike will be done on behalf of any government employee. If this act is violated on behalf of government employees, then the government can take legal action by arresting those strikers without warrant.
