The second wave of Corona has had a profound effect on the current situation of the country. The sudden increase in corona patients has put a heavy burden on the health care sector and thousands of patients are battling the deadly virus. Amid the pandemic, several celebrities have taken to their social media handles requesting for resources and talking about the importance of staying indoors during these unprecedented times.
Now, in a recent interview, actress Shreya Dhanwantri has expressed her opinion on how tough the pandemic has been.
This actress is famous for her work in 'The Family Man' and 'Scam 1992'. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, she told that the way the pandemic was 'handled' it shocked her. The actress pointed to the lack of medical help amid these trying times. "Even today, no one came to us and talked about the lack of medical infrastructure and facilities," he said. The actress expressed that due to the prolonged pandemic, there is a fear of a third wave of COVID-19.
"it's so unfair. There are many people who are not aware of this. The app is not made for people who are differently abled. There is also a huge disparity against those who cannot read and write English,” she explains.
All of this will result in fewer people being vaccinated, raising fears of a third wave of the pandemic.
“Until the entire country is vaccinated, we will not be able to survive the third way. It doesn't matter if I get my two shots," said the actor.
