Highlights:
- Consideration of reducing the current restrictions as the Kovid case decreases in Maharashtra
- Discussion on removal of lockdown in Maharashtra in a phased manner, to be unlocked in four phases
- If all goes according to plan, then the unlock process can start from June 1
With the reduction of the Kovid case in Maharashtra, the Uddhav government is now considering loosening existing restrictions. According to sources, there is a discussion on the removal of the restrictions in a phased manner in Maharashtra. If all goes according to plan, the unlock process can start from June 1. However, taking a lesson from the last time, the government is making strides. In such a situation, the picture regarding the unlock is not completely clear. Nevertheless, there are many such things in favor of unlock which can soon make it come true-
1- Corona case reduced, recovery rate 93 percent
New cases of less than one and a half thousand are coming to Mumbai for the last several days. The recovery rate has also gone up to 93 percent. In such a situation, it is believed that from Mumbai the corona crisis has been clouded. This has increased the expectation of the people that the state government may take a decision related to the removal of lockdown after June 1.
2- Containment zones are left in only 10 wards
Out of 24 wards in Mumbai, now only 10 wards are left with container zones, while 14 wards are made up of container zones. Whereas 7 wards do not have a single micro containment zone. At the same time, there is not a single seal building in one ward. There are only 44 Containment Zone active in Mumbai, in which about 2.33 lakh people live, while 2747 Containment Zones have been released so far after the corona patients have recovered.
3- Can be unlocked in four stages, shops will open in the first phase!
According to sources, the unlock process can be decided in four phases in Maharashtra. Shops can be decided in the first and second phase. The government is serious about this due to the monsoon. It is believed that shops related to maintenance and monsoon may be allowed to open.
The opening hours of the shops will be extended
It is also being said that the opening hours of these shops in Maharashtra can also be extended. Currently, many shops are allowed to open between 7 am and 11 am Monday to Friday. It is now reported that the time of the shops can be increased from 9 am to 5 pm. SOPs will also be prepared with shop unlock so that the spread of infection does not occur again.
4- Preparation to open bar-restaurant in third phase
In the third phase, the government may allow restaurants, bars and wine shops to be opened. There will be an SOP for them as well as measures to implement social distancing. A decision will also be taken on the number of restaurants that can be opened. Traders have suffered a lot due to the closure of shops in the state for the last few days. It is hoped that next month, the government may take a decision to open shops.
5- Local and religious places will open in the fourth phase
If things go well, the remaining restrictions can be lifted in the fourth phase. In the fourth phase, the government may also approve opening of local services and religious places. Apart from this, a decision will be taken in the districts where lockdown or strict restrictions have been imposed.
Lesson from last mistake
However, CM Uddhav Thackeray had said clearly in the past that he would think 10 times before deciding on the unlock. Actually, the unlocking process in Maharashtra was accelerated after the last time Corona came under control. This led to a more rapid transition to the second wave than before. CM had said on the Ratnagiri tour recently, 'Korana is coming down but I will not say anything in this regard. We have learned a lesson from the first wave.
No travel allowed in local for next 15 days
State Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Vadettiwar said that if everyone was allowed to travel in local trains, the congestion would increase. That is why not everyone can be allowed to travel in the local area for the next 15 days. The minister said, "The number of corona patients in Mumbai has decreased, but this does not mean that the corona is over. The effect of limiting local services to employees of urgent services is now beginning to be seen. That is why there is no idea of making local travel accessible to all at the moment.
