In the capital Lucknow, the work of beautification of a few roads lying in a dilapidated condition will soon be started under the Smart City Scheme. For this, on the instructions of Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, the Public Works Department has been approved by the government on Wednesday.
On the direction of the Deputy CM, the Public Works Department was sanctioned Rs 102 crore 9 lakh 66 thousand for the beautification of 12 roads of Lucknow on behalf of the government. Of this, an amount of Rs 5,666 lakh has also been allocated to the department. The Deputy CM on Wednesday directed the officials to start work as soon as possible. PWD's 12 roads to be beautified will not only be widened to 5 lanes, but utility ducts will also be made on those roads, through which electricity and phone lines will be made under the ground.
These roads in Lucknow will be beautified with repair
After getting the approval from the government, from the Public Works Department, Shivaji Marg (Hussainganj to Latush Road), Shahnajaf Marg, Shahmina Marg, Raja Nawab Ali Road, MG Road (Residency Tiraha to Swasthya Bhavan Tiraha), MG Road ( Health building Tiraha to Rana Pratap Marg), MG Road (Hazratganj Crossing to DM Housing), MG Road (Victoria Memorial to DM Housing), Gautam Budh Marg, Hussainabad Marg, University Road will be beautified.
