Ghaziabad
As long as he was alive, he walked shoulder to shoulder with his loved ones, taught the children to hold their finger, showed them the world by sitting on their shoulders, they tried everything possible to keep their spirits never broken. But when his breath left due to Corona, the strings of the relationship were also broken.

Those people with whom they walked shoulder to shoulder did not even consider it necessary to walk behind the dead body to the cremation ground. The family members of some reached the cremation ground to perform the cremation, but did not reach to collect their ashes.

48 dead bodies flown in Brajghat Ganga
This painful reality is of the 48 people of Ghaziabad in UP who died in the Corona period in the last one and a half months. Of these, no family member even came for the cremation of 30. He had to be cremated in an unclaimed manner. At the same time, there were 18 people who died of corona.

His family members came for the cremation, but did not reach the crematorium to collect his ashes. In such a situation, the managers of Hindon Moksha Sthali went to Brajghat on Wednesday and flowed the ashes into the Ganges. Acharya Manish Pandit, the operator of Moksha Sthali (crematorium), told that he has immersed the ashes of 48 dead bodies in the Brajghat Ganga. Of these, 18 were of corona-infected people, whose family members did not come to collect them.

cases had increased suddenly
The beds of most of the government and non-government hospitals in the district were full after the second wave of corona infection after 15 April. A large number of people also died due to lack of oxygen, lack of treatment.

There were also many whose attendants kept waiting for admission for treatment outside the hospital, but due to non-availability of beds, the patient died outside the hospital. The situation was similar at Hindon Moksha Sthali (crematorium) from April 21 to May 10. From early morning there used to be a line of dead bodies for the last rites. Had to wait for 8 hours for this.

In Moksha Sthali, at times 70 to 80 dead bodies were cremated in a day. Due to this, the Municipal Corporation took the process of rites of corona infected in its own hands. When the number of dead bodies started increasing, the administration started separate cremation grounds at Indirapuram and Karhera.

In government figures, the death toll in the second wave may be around 450, but non-official sources put this number up to thousands. The administration and the health department argue that a large number of infected persons from Delhi and adjoining districts were also cremated on the banks of the Hindon river.

Even in the first wave, their faces were folded
Acharya Manish Pandit said that even in the first wave of corona infection, when a large number of migrants were walking on foot to the remote area via Ghaziabad, many infected persons died on the way.

Those whose families brought dead bodies to be cremated but did not come to pick flowers (bones). During this also the ashes of about 50 people were flown to the river Ganges.

Same situation in second wave
He told that even in the second wave of corona infection, there were 18 infected people during whose rites their family members had come but did not come to pick flowers. While there were flowers of 30 unclaimed dead bodies.

We prayed for their salvation by pouring the ashes of 48 people into the Ganges. We took these ashes in a special vehicle to Brijghat where by hiring a boat, with full religious rituals, the ashes were immersed in the river Ganges and prayed for the peace of the soul of the dead.
